This news story is for the Canadian dealer market only

Upscale party atmosphere a fitting welcome for two important new models

Tucked around the corner from the busyness of 4th and Pine on the West Side's fittingly calm and serene 3rd Avenue, right in the heart of Vancouver's premium automotive district, Infiniti Downtown Vancouver is the ultimate boutique luxury retailer. A contemporary white stone and glass building filled with modern leather, wood, metal and glass furnishings is ideally suited to the Japanese luxury brand's forward thinking yet traditionally rooted image, and a wonderfully intimate setting for an evening soirée.

Quiet house music spinning in the background, a room of well dressed guests seemingly relieved of their week's challenges thanks to enjoyable conversation, glasses of full of fruity Kanazawa Malbec 2014, some delectable Asian-fusion rolled, skewered and spooned appetizers, and soon after, tiny chocolate topped, cream filled pastries and yet tinier shortbread cookies complemented by warmed green milk tea, it's the lifestyle of Infiniti owners, or at least those who chose to join Infiniti Downtown Vancouver at this special event. The occasion?

Infiniti, renowned for building some of the most dynamically designed, elegantly finished, technologically advanced, impressively performing cars and SUVs in the luxury sector is unveiling two new models. After brief introductions by Angelo Barigello, General Manager of Infiniti Downtown Vancouver, and James Graff, Regional Variable Operations Manager of Dilawri Automotive Group, a stunning third-generation 2017 Q60 sport coupe was revealed alongside the entirely new 2017 QX30 subcompact crossover SUV.

The Q60 on display was in mid-range 3.0t AWD trim, finished in vibrant Electric Indigo Metallic paint, and equipped with a 300 horsepower 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, the model standard with remote start, a heated leather-wrapped power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, powered heatable front seats with memory, sumptuous semi-aniline premium leather upholstery, navigation, Bose Centerpoint surround audio, and so much more.

For just $45,990 plus freight and fees the 2017 Q60 2.0t AWD comes standard with a sporty yet efficient 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, a state-of-the-art downshift rev-matching seven-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and adaptive shift control, Intelligent AWD, a drive mode selector with sport, eco, standard, snow, and personal settings, auto on/off LED headlamps, 19-inch alloys, proximity keyless access with pushbutton ignition, dual-zone auto climate control, Infiniti InTouch dual-display colour infotainment with a dynamic rearview camera, a powered moonroof, a full assortment of active and passive safety equipment, and the list goes on and on.

The top-line pièce de résistance Q60 Red Sport 400 AWD, which is available in exclusive Dynamic Sunstone Red paint, boasts a sensational 400 horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6, plus magnesium paddle shifters, quick-ratio steering, a sport suspension with electronically adjustable shocks, sport brakes, sport premium leather upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, a 360-degree surround parking monitor with moving object detection, blindspot warning, reverse collision intervention, predictive forward collision warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and again, much more.

On the other side of the automotive spectrum, the all-new QX30 leads Infiniti into the burgeoning subcompact luxury SUV segment, which is one of the most exciting classes in the automotive sector. Just as stylish as Infiniti's full lineup of larger SUVs, the QX30 is designed with the city in mind. It's perfectly sized to slot into small car parking spaces and easy to manoeuvre through underground garages, tight laneways and congested traffic, yet it's designed to be wonderfully capable when the road opens up to twisting, undulating, fast-paced corners, tempting you to let your hair down and have a little fun.

Available from just $35,990, the QX30 is not only Infiniti's most affordable model, but it also represents one of the best values in the premium sector, let alone amongst luxury SUVs. That competitive price gets you the same advanced turbocharged four-cylinder as the Q60 sport coupe, plus a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, 18-inch alloys, power-folding heatable driver-side auto-dimming exterior mirrors, soft luxurious Nappa leather upholstery, powered front seats with memory, an infotainment system with a rearview monitor, and much more, while available options include AWD, 19-inch alloys, LED headlamps, sport seats, a 360-degree surround monitor, automated self-parking, and much more.

Not unusual for Infiniti, these two newest models manage to ideally combine sporting athleticism with a level of rich elegance few rivals can match, while their interiors are some of the best finished in the industry, with superb materials quality, above average fit and finish, excellent ergonomics, and myriad features, representing superb value propositions within their respective luxury segments.
